Max Mallen is a versatile, award-winning film director, cinematographer and editor with exceptional flair and know-how. He is the founder of Front Row Picturehouse, and he has collaborated with Stonedog Productions on many keynote projects, notably Hornsleth: Product of Love (as principal cinematographer & Associate Producer), Linda Karshan: Choreographing the Page (as cinematographer and editor), Kirsty McCall 10.10.10 (as camera operator), and Ishmael Annobil's surreal feature, Salamander Walks (as camera operator). A fluent French and English speaker, Max has edited numerous documentaries on the British Royal family, and has directed many acclaimed video campaigns for brands such as Mercedes Benz, Honda, Google, British Airways and many more. He has an MA in screen directing from London University of Arts and a BA in filmmaking. Mallen is currently developing two feature films, including a dystopian odyssey with Ishmael Annobil, while compiling his first photographic monograph, to be published in 2021 by Totem Books. His awards include a nomination for the Royal TV Association Best Documentary and a BAFTA for best short film. He is a gifted cook, guitarist, and film photographer.
